Triassic Zonal Scheme of European Russia on Ichthyofauna

A zonal ichthyofaunal stratigraphic scheme for different facies deposits from the Lower and Middle Triassic of European Russia is proposed for the first time. The scheme has been elaborated on ichthyofaunal complexes and groups with use of evolutionary trends among dipnoans, elasmobranchians and actinopterigians. Upper Permian zonal scheme on ichthyofauna is also clarified. Distribution of fishes in Triassic of Eastern-European platform is shown.

On Influence of the Earth’s Rotational Regime upon Natural Processes

Dependence of the near-surface air temperature on the Earth's rotational regime is revealed in the Phanerozoic. Epochs of cooling correlate with reduced rates of the Earth's rotation. Macrovariations in rotational regime caused by cosmogenic and endogenic factors, and microvariations, as well as by fluctuations in solar activity and endogenic processes, control the stresses and deformations within the Earth's crust, dynamics and peculiarites of water and air mass circulation, and consequently, the temperature regimes of the latitudinal belts.

Analysis of the Knowledge of the Callovian Type Sections from the Volga Region

Comparison of results obtained by various authors from Callovian beds of the stratotype section in the Malinovyj gully has shown to be incomparable in the amount and quality of biostratigraphic information. Using this information for recognizing of local strata (suites) has reduced the minuteness of deposit division. This makes new comprehensive description of the section essential as well as thorough analyses of the latest results in combination with the earlier data on the updated ammonite standard.

The First Evidence of Tactile Sensor Zones among Dicynodonts (Therapsida)

For the first time evedences of possible tactile sensor zones has been described in representative of non-theriodont clade of therapsids – Myosaurus gracilis (Dicynodontia). The system of foramina and grooves reflecting well developed blood network on the snout of Myosaurus is generally similar to the same descried for theriodonts and possibly represents development of sensor zones. Very large orbits and developed sensor fields on the snout of Myosaurus the most probably indicates the nocturnal mode of life and support previous ideas on omnivorous feeding.

Study of Neotectonic Fissuring in Connection with a Substantiation of Ecological Safety of Sokolovogorsky Burial Ground Disposal of Industrial Drains

Passing waters received at improvement of Sokolovogorsky oil and gas field is subject of injection in the Paleozoic carbon-bearing collector. Digital geological model of the burial reservoir has been created to prove size of sanitary protection zones (ZSP) by the collective of NVNIIGG. This allowed carrying out hydrodynamic modeling and defining of parameters of spreading zone. Taking into account anisotropic properties of the reservoir, experts of chair of engineering geology and hydrogeology of the Saratov state university were involved in the project.

Main informative characters of facies-genetic types of the Late Phanerozoic marine and continental deposits for SE of the EasternEuropean platform are discussed. Their analysis has shown irreversible trends of decreasing of chemogenic formations from the Permian age to Recent as well as increasing of terrigenouscarbonate, sapropel and siliceous-carbonate biogenic sedimentation.

To Paleoclimatic Control in Oil and Gas Generation as Related to Estimation of Oil and Gas Content Prospects in the Shelves of Russian Arctic Seas

A direct dependence is established between the scale of accumulation of oil source organic matter and the average annual temperature, illumination and supply of biogenic elements to the photic layer of the water mass in a sedimentation basin. Other conditions being favourable, the oil-generating potentials of sedimentary-rock basins depend upon their paleolatitudinal position during accumulation of oil-source deposits. Oil and gas contents are predicted for the shelf zones of other marginal Arctic seas in Russia.

Preliminary Results of Researches of Estimation of an Opportunity of Quantitative Interpretation of Termokappametric Data

Termokappametric method, that is based on the effect of phase transition of sulfides and carbonates of iron to magnetite at heating up to 500° C in the oxidizing environment, allows to define variations of concentration of pyrite in rocks. It is carried out laboratory and field researches with the purpose of finding-out of an opportunity to receive quantitative, instead of the qualitative with help of the termokappametric method.

Сharacteristics of the Lower Cretaceous Local Stratigraphic Units from the North of the Volgograd Region

Detailed sampling of the Lower Cretaceous beds from the wells and outcrops in the north of the Volgograd Region has revealed peculiarities in the material composition alterations along the section at the level of local stratigraphic units. Cyclicity in the Cretaceous bed formation has been established. Analyses of the authors’ own and of the earlier published paleontologic data have made it possible to date the beds relative to the general stratigraphic scale. Sedimentation stages in the Early Cretaceous have been considered for the Volga right bank region in the vicinity of Volgograd.

Well Logging Zoning of Saratov Region

In work for needs of the mine geophysics the outline of the Saratov oblast division into district is offered, it is based on the depths of bedding and litological structure of the basic oil and gas complexes, tectonic division into district of the territory, distribution of the saltmeasures and zones of development of the anomaly press, results of the metering of geophysical parameters in the chinks, stratigraphy layings out, data about the designs of the chinks, bed temperatures and pressure, mineralization of the bed of waters.

Lithological and Physical Yardsticks on Optimization Technology of Mud Acid Treatments Terrigenous Reservoirs

Results of laboratory and field researches on optimization of realization of mud acid treatments in the wells, opened terrigenous reservoirs at Saratovneftegaz OAO deposits, are submitted. it is shown, that efficiency of mud acid treatments of wells is determined by a degree of conformity of a mode of treatment of a layer with its geologicalphisical characteristic.

Forecast Oil and Gas Content of Bowels using Methods of Deep Geochemistry

This article gives a brief overview on the possible forecast of oil and gas content on the basis of the studies of DOS (dispersed organic substance) rocks and its catagenetic alteration. On an example of southern part of Buzulukskaya hollow the connection of paleozoic rocks catagenezic with the phase content of hydrocarbons deposits is traced. The original scheme of catagenetic location of the bowels for this territory has been devised on the basis of the usage of the method of calculation of total impulses of heat.

The Composition and Paleontologic Characteristics of the Callovian Depositions from the North of the Don-Medveditsa Dislocations

New materials on the lithologic composition, character of the boundaries between the subsuites and paleontologic age determinations are presented. Those were obtained upon stydying the well copes from the North of the Don-Medveditsa Dislocations. The data analysis has allowed to divide the depositions in new place of the Volga Region in subsuites. Those are corresponding to standart ammonite zones and peculiar for foraminifer assemblages of their own. Sandy clays occur in subsuite bottom, the boundaries between subsuites are drawn from paleontologic data in clayey section.

Approaches to Creating an Updated Biostratigraphic Base for Dividing the Callovian from the Volga Region

Current reestimation of the stratigraphic positions of some zonal ammonites has resulted in revision of the sequence of ammonite zones, particularly in the Lower substage, and in more detailed stage division. The work has been mainly finished for Central Russia. But it is still in the initial stage in the Volga Region. New data is presented in the paper. Possibility is discussed of compiling an updated biostratigraphic base for dividing the Callovian not only from ammonites, but from foraminifers, as well.
